1.Bitcoin is now Front and Centre of the Upcoming US Presidential Election
The Scoop🕵️♂️: Last week, former US President, Donald Trump addressed the National Libertarian Convention in DC, causing quite a stir. But not for the reasons you might think. Prior to his appearance he had started accepting bitcoin for his campaign contributions and stated on social media platform “Truth Social” with regards to crypto that “Our country must be the leader in the field, there is no second place”.
At the Libertarian Convention he went on to say this: “I will ensure that the future of crypto and the future of Bitcoin will be made in the USA not driven overseas. I will support the right to self custody. To the nation's 50 million crypto holders I say this with your vote - I will keep Elizabeth Warren and her goons away from your Bitcoin and I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency”.Why you should care🚨: As of 2024, approximately 14.4% of U.S. adults hold cryptocurrency, which translates to around 49 million people. Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency among these holders.
At the time of writing, two of the leading presidential candidates, Trump and RFK Jr., are accepting Bitcoin campaign contributions and promising to protect the rights of bitcoiners. Aspiring VP Vivek Ramaswamy also made similar promises on the campaign trail.
The Biden administration has made several attempts to limit the freedoms of crypto currency holders and constrain companies operating in the industry. They just lost 50m votes. Whether those votes go to RFK Junior or Trump remains to be seen. Many bitcoiners are single issue voters, so this move could bolster Trump’s campaign significantly.

She is a site broker in the mining industry working across multiple companies to find the right site for their needs. Heather works for COMPASS Mining as an ASIC Sales Representative.
In her spare time, Heather is a Realtor and Economic Development Executive with a Masters' Degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Project Manager.
